the technoillogical myopia

after several years of ordinary music experience, the technoillogical myopia was formed in london [2002], around a computer. the idea of technology and its misuses was very present, as the composing process was going to be completely reversed for the members of this unusual band.

owing to their musical and human formation, they started to write and arrange a set of musical passages that could reflect their will to explore music as a connection between matter and mind.



as a result of their manners and convictions, the members went through a period of learning and experimentation with new instruments and software. the band ends up recording and producing their own work, swapping instruments throughout the recording sessions and during their live performances, letting their meticulous sound find a way out. magma EP is the intriguing result of five people endlessly evolving their unique sound and vision.



their intention has always been to explore their very particular conception of music, so the members compose, arrange, produce, record and play live their pieces of music and from their soundscapes, they create images in different formats that are thoroughly edited for their artwork and live projections.



the technoillogical myopia is actually composing an image-track-of-the-music: brainstallation_one, as they share a deep interest in this two-dimensional-illusion-of-emitted-light we all fall in when confronted to moving images. from all those principles, they have created an exceptional proposal that, when seen live, becomes a very intriguing exploration of the audiovisual realm as an electronic representation of actuality.
