THE STICKS: are brothers Thom [29] and Dave [31]

FORMED: Christmas Eve, 1995

WHERE: Forest Hills, NY, USA.



HISTORY: THE STICKS joined forces when Thom [17] and Dave [19] were bored NYC suburban teenagers. Armed with an acoustic guitar and a tape recorder, they recorded their 1st tape outside in a blizzard on x-mas eve. Songs were improvised by coming up with random song titles. Then pressing PLAY + RECORD. Several more tapes were recorded through floods, tornadoes and other natural disasters. Next THE STICKS bought a 4-track and headed down to the basement. They came up with several more tapes. Upon moving to Los Angeles they spent even more time at home recording as they had no car. After several cars that have broken down THE STICKS have finished recording their latest album called "Grow Up". It features 12 new tracks. The two songs uploaded are "In Limbo" a song by Thom + "It's All Good" a song by Dave, © by The Sticks, 2004.



When THE STICKS aren't recording together they can be found alone in their bedrooms recording solo.



UPDATE : The Sticks have just finished recording a new album. It's called "+ Stones" and features 15 new tracks. The two songs uploaded are: "Celebration Time" a song by Thom + "Can't Get You Off My Mind" a song by Dave, © by The Sticks, 2006. Enjoy !
