The Sins

Sydney band The Sins formed from the association that Steve and Kari formed when they toured to promote Steve's solo album - 'Stolen Goods' (Vitamin). The englishman and The swedish woman formed a very strong musical bond and when they started writing music together they enlisted the talents of the Australian painter Mark Hetherington to play drums and Justin Tauber on bass.
Performing with the kind of intensity that is like partaking in both an entrancing theatrical experience and the best kind of Smoky Film Noir. Combining an array of instrumentation from swinging organ, brushed jazzy drums to fuzzed out guitar underneath lush, silky harmonies, The Sins sound is a dark ghost-train ride through a maniacal thunderstorm. Tales of debauched late nights, Swedish schoolgirls drowning in remote frozen lakes and unrequited love stories lie within the tunes. Like a memorable film, The Sins are a live act that will stay with you long after leaving the gig. Their first album - "Mourning The Night" Code One/MGM received excellent reviews and they are preparing to release a new single "Beta Blockers" in the second half of 2011.
