The SilenTreatment is a Scranton Pennsylvania-based band that's well on its way to being a household name across the USA. After selling over 2,000 copies of their debut album, "Sinful Acts of Audio," in 2008, and reaching #1 on the Indie-Music.com Rock Music Charts for several weeks with their single, "Pretty Little Girl," The SilenTreatment released their follow-up EP, "Passion in Progress," to rave reviews in 2009.
“Passion in Progress” was voted “Best Local Original Album” in the Electric City/Diamond City Best of 2009 Poll, with the band also taking “Best Band Name” honors, and frontman Anthony Giamusso voted “Hottest Local Musician.” A few months later, the band was voted “Best Local Original Band” in the Weekender’s Reader’s Choice Poll encompassing all of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
In conjunction with the release of "Passion," ECTV (a Scranton, PA based television network) aired a TV Special devoted entirely to TST and their new EP, which also featured prominently in all the local media and newspapers. The "Passion" Release Party was heavily supported by area media giants: 98.5 KRZ, 102.3 The Mountain, and The Weekender, and was captured in a professional music video shot at the show, featuring cell phone footage sent in by the band's fans. Shortly after the release of Passion, their first single off the album "Valentine" joined "Pretty Little Girl" by also hitting #1 on the Pop Rock charts at Indie-music.com
In late 2009 the band began producing a substantial amount of weekly content, all fueled by the interest of their loyal fans. By the time they entered the studio to begin recording material for their third CD in late 2010, the band had acquired over 150 videos, podcasts, and blogs, respectively. The SilenTreatment prides themselves on the intimate relationship they have established with their dedicated fanbase and continues to strive to produce the valuable content that they have come to know and love.
Attracting hundreds of "sophisticated animals" to their CD Release Parties and performing frequently in Northeastern Pennsylvania has prepared the band for an assault on the continental U.S. in 2011. But The SilenTreatment's music is not only making an impact across the States and Canada - it is making headway overseas as well. Burgeoning interest around the world continues to rise in Japan, the UK, Bulgaria, Australia, and especially France, where an unsolicited French Fan Army has been created for the band by their French fanbase.
The new decade opened with a bang for The SilenTreatment, who performed as the musical guest for a new television talk show, which was pitched to MTV, VH1, and many other national networks. The band was also featured on George Graham’s Homegrown Music series, where the band performed music from both “Sinful Acts of Audio” and “Passion In Progress” for a subsequent radio broadcast. Before the turn of the new year, the band shared the stage with rock legends KISS during their Hottest Show on Earth tour. With the support of their loyal fans, The SilenTreatment finished among the Top 5 in the Scranton Metro Area for the Guitar Center: On Stage Competition and were selected by KISS themselves to play with them. Recently, the band's song "Valentine" was chosen among the Top 25 songs of 2010 at Indie-music.com. The band is currently in the studio preparing music for their next upcoming release. With radio already buzzing, The SilenTreatment is certainly a band to watch in 2011.

"Catchy songs. Sexy lyrics. Sharp arrangements. Crafty musicianship. I'm predicting big things for this project.A simple message to those who read this column: Give this band a listen."
- Alan K. Stout, The Weekender

"The word is out. This young modern rock band is posed to explode on the scene this year. Loaded with talent, smarts and harmonies, this band is gaining recognition and has a lot of appeal with women and the college crowd. The SilenTreament won’t be quiet for much longer!"
- Media Five Entertainment Booking Agency & Artist Management

"[Sinful Acts of Audio] has a sleek and honest crossover appeal, in its way it is perfectly timeless but also very much of the Now. One can imagine, while hearing this a few albums and years later, with slightly less polish and rougher edges a supergroup of Linkin Park proportions. This however will keep many listeners happy and dancing until that future arrives. An excellent beginning, and a band to watch."
- William Elliot, Next Best Thing Blog

"Danceable pop-rock at it's best."
- Ourobouros Podcast Show

"The most ambitious band we've interviewed."
- Marissa Phillips, The Beacon

"Great band with some great music… Very catchy tunes with some great guitar… If you like American rock like Matchbox Twenty, then you’ll love this group!"
- BRCFP Internet Podcast Show

"Love the sound, love the hooks."
- Eric Thompson, Double Shot Internet Radio

"The SilenTreatment's music comes together nicely, blending radio-friendly rock rhythms with the band's own mixture of harder melodies and fluent chord progressions, all backing Giamusso's lead vocals. The band's devotion to music and the members' friendships will hopefully be a combination that will give the band the longevity they deserve."
- Ryan O'Malley, Sunday Dispatch
