THE SHINDIG

The Shindig is a non-profit organization that meets every Monday night at 6:30 pm and Thursday night at 6pm to enjoy skateboarding, free food, and live music. Every Thursday night at 6pm we have free tutoring for any kids who need help; you earn skate stuff for going to tutoring. At the Shindig we believe that everyone has potential to do something great in this world. We want to be here to push people into their destiny.



Here at The Shindig we believe that there is a better way to live life. We follow the teachings of Jesus and have found that it has only brought us closer to what life truly can be. God is the source of all life, apart from him life is lost.



We feel that the Church is not a building, but a movement of people wanting to see change. Here at The Shindig we are aiming to build skateboarders into disciples to spread the gospel across the world. We know that Jesus loves skaters and wants to see the skateboard community redeemed. The Shindig could be a starting point for this movement and we would love to see the skateboard community of Bakersfield fall in love with Jesus.



We hope and pray to see change in the community of Bakersfield, Ca. We believe that our city is in the stages of change going from a city full of violence to a city of peace, from a city of greed to a city of sharing, from a city of selfish desires to a city of servitude and grace. Please continue to support/help and push us towards reaching our destiny as well.



SERVICE AND SHOW TIMES:



MONDAY NIGHT SKATE CHURCH (NO SHOW; ALL AGES) 6:40 pm- 8:30 pm

This night is a Bible Study and Skateboarding. We skate and do a 30 minute bible study. Everyone is welcome on Monday, but you may not come skate and leave before bible study. The attendance is lower which makes Monday a little easier to go big on your board.



TUESDAY NIGHT (NO SHOW, EVERY AGE WELCOME) 7:00PM-9:00PM

This is a Bible Study and Worship. We believe that everyone is welcome into our buildings to meet with us. When you enter into the church you will feel loved and I promise there will be no judgments. We believe God loves all people and that you do not have to be perfect before you enter.



WEDNESDAY NIGHT (YOUTH CHURCH, 7th grade - High School) 6:30-8:30PM

Come enjoy church with people your age. We worship God and hang out with friends. Please feel free to come as you are (don't dress in your daddies suit!). You can skate a little bit on these nights too.



THURSDAY NIGHT (FREE EVERYTHING) 6:00PM-9:00PM

Free full skate park, Free Show, Free Food. Everything we do on Thursday's is free for the community. It's all about the love ya'll.



SUNDAY NIGHT (YOUTH CHURCH, 7th grade - High School) 6:30-8:30PM

Come enjoy church with people your age. We worship God and hang out with friends. Please feel free to come as you are (don't dress in your daddies suit!). You can skate a little bit on these nights too.
