"Head of Snakes" is the new record from The Seas, to be released completely digitally. Fans can purchase a download ticket at shows or download through online retailers such as amazon.com. The six-song EP, released in July, further expands their wide-angle lens of sound that incorporates wanderlust waltzes, heavily-layered funk, and sweaty psycho-revivalism. Check out the free single "Stars Don't Shine Just For You."

In 2009 the Seas performed in London as part of the City Showcase festival at the Apple Store and at the charming Cross Kings club for the Semiconductor Archives all-dayer fest. They released the album *Let's Fake It* featuring the lead-off single "French Toast" (available for free download) and the molasses-funk of "Talk To Me."

The Austin-based band released a four-song EP in 2006, featuring uppity punkish-pop songs like "Little Girl" and "Rita Lee."

The sound is: Juju charms and slippery neo-soul vocals. Heavy beats and slinky treats. Unadulterated pop. A mutty mix of styles and philosophies.

Hailed as a "very refreshing sound in the underground" (Austin Music Magazine), the group embraces the whimsical experimentalism of Os Mutantes and Beck, as well as the art-rock traditions of Talking Heads and Roxy Music.

The group includes frontman Nurk (vocals, melodica, guitar); LaRue (bass, keys, vocals); John “Tubby” Ashley (drums/percussion); and El Jefe (guitar, bass, vocals). No Seas show is ever the same. Their performances range from subdued acoustic to rock-show bombast to lush electro-symphonic. Which one will you experience?
