9th July 2010 sees The Scuffers return with their 2nd studio album, 'Scrambled Pictures', and some of their finest songs to date. Moving away from the raw Honky Tonk sound of the 1st album, the band have explored many different musical avenues and provided an altogether more rounded and accessible album.

Starting off life in 2005, The Scuffers quickly gained a large following, playing their own take on Country music. The overwhelming response to their sounds saw them landing a headline slot at Glasgow prestigious West-End Festval, as well as gigs at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, King Tuts Wah Wah Hut and the famous Glasgow Barrowlands.

In 2007 they released their 1st studio album, "The Life I've Had", on Miracle Town Records, which received some glowing reviews from many publications, including respected Country Music magazine, Maverick, who gave them 3.5 stars out of 5 and commented that the album was "A Scottish blend of Americana that is irresistible for a good ol' shindig"

The release of the album gained The Scuffers an even greater following and the band were now in demand to open for many established acts including Proud Mary, Hayseed Dixie and, most recently, as tour support for Detroit's Deadstring Brothers.

Returning to the studio in September 2009, The Scuffers got to work recording the tracks for the 2nd album. Songwriter Gavin Wallace has not lost his touch for infectious melodies and witty, gritty and heartfelt lyrics, whilst the band sounds more tight and confident than ever. Their musical direction has moved them away from their country roots, to encompass a broader range of influences including folk, pop, skiffle and traditional rock 'n' roll. This has invited comparisons to acts as diverse as Ryan Adams, The Waterboys, Eddie Cochran, Bright Eyes, King Creosote, Fleetwood Mac and The Beautiful South. A hugely popular live act, the band will launch their new album with a special show at Glasgow's Nice and Sleazy's on 9th July, and are hoping to secure more gigs and festival appearances over the summer.

Founding members of the band are Gavin Wallace (lead vocals, guitar) and Ian Fraser (Bass). Also currently playing with The Scuffers are Angie Darcy (harmony vocals), Danny Mitchell (Mandolin), Dave McCluskey (Drums), Conor Smith (Lead Guitar).
