JONESSA

As a child Jonessa Monique idolized her father, dancing along as he rehearsed old Motown songs on his guitar, mimicking his every move and tone at the tender age of two. It quickly became clear the Jonessa’s father would be her inspiration. Thanks to music the man survived being thrown out of his home when he was only a teenager. After teaching himself how to play the guitar on one he had found in a garbage barrel, Jonessa’s father was discovered singing on the street and was approached to work in a near by bar singing doo wop. He later instilled this can-do attitude in his daughter, who exudes a strikingly similar quality when it comes to her work. As Jonessa got older she continued to pursue her passion for music and landed a gig singing background vocals for B2K’s single “Bump, Bump, Bump”. Soon after, she also had her voice featured in a worldwide Vanilla Coke commercial.
