The Resigned

I cant believe im writing this. I honestly never thought this day would come, but it has. At aprox 1pm on 3/4/09 'The Resigned' spilt up.

This came with no warning, and totally shocked me.



I know this is a total cliche, but we have not fallen out. We are all still good friends, and some of us will probably play beautiful music together in the future. It was just felt that as far as this band went something wasnt quite right, the feeling that had been there before had now gone.



Speaking personally, this has been the greatest 3 year musical trip of my life, and I know I will never be the same again.



I would like to thank everyone who has ever come and seen us, who has one of our CD's/badges, and would like to thank every band we have shared a stage with.

I know that traditionally I am not suposed to thank people by name, but this bad has always been about breaking whats normall, and doing its own thing. So, with that inmind for one last time I will break the rules and name a few people who over the last 3 years have really made this time in this band so special to me. So, thank you to (in no particular order): Skull-Fox, Miss Halliwell and Porpoise, you guys played with us more than anyone and those times are something I will always remember. Thank you also to: Tasha, EJ, Chris, Jos, Danky, and anyone else I cant remember right now who formed the 'hardcore' group of people who came to almose every gig we did, as well as helping with other things as well.



I have uploaded a demo that I recorded at a practice session on my laptop of a song that was going to be on our next ep. its called 'Unsinkable (is just a name)'. The quality is shit because it was just done with the mic thats on my laptop, but I thought id pop it up to show people the kind of stuff we were working towards.



If any of us form new bands, I will pop back on here to let everyone know about them so you can see what we do with ourselves.
