The Rent

ITALIANO
Quattro ragazzi fiorentini, classe 1992, che propongono una manciata di brani originali in inglese, frutto della passione per il pop, l’indie, la new wave e l’alt folk, mischiati in un sound dalle melodie originali e orecchiabili con richiami a Beatles, Talking Heads, Blur e Kings Of Convenience.
Con tre demo all’attivo, in pi� di 50 date in due anni suonano ovunque sia possibile a Firenze (Viper, Flog, Saschall, Fortezza Da Basso, Caf� Delux�e, Twenty-One…) e dintorni (Corte dei Miracoli – Siena, M�los – Pistoia, Marea Festival – Fucecchio…). Partecipano a diversi contest, come il Rock Contest 2007 (semifinali), l’Indie Time 2008 (terzi classificati), Firenze Cambia Musica 2009 (secondi classificati) e a ad alcune trasmissioni radiofoniche con showcase (Controradio, Puntoradio, Radio Radicchio) e televisive (TVL). Sono selezionati per il Music Village 2008 a Montecampione (BR) e per la prima edizione del festival Britmania (FI) e vengono scelti, insieme ad altri gruppi della scena musicale fiorentina, come testimonial per una campagna pubblicitaria del brand di abbigliamento Santaf�.
Aprono concerti per Joe Lean and The Jing Jang Jong (UK), The Futureheads (UK), Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica, Tronik Youth (UK), Sound Of Stereo (BE), Did, Le Rose, The Hacienda, Too Much Blond, Tiger! Shit! Tiger! Tiger!, To Be Rhudes e molti altri. The Rent: a nice band, some good music.
Nell'ottobre 2010 i Rent presentano la loro prima video-clip del singolo "Another Day/Another Way" estratto dalla loro ultima EP "Making Confusion".

The Rent – Four Florentine guys, born in 1992 proposing a handful of songs sung in English, mixing Pop, Indie, New Wave and alternative Folk with a unique sound using choruses, riffs and interesting compositions.
They have three demos and two EP’s and have played about 100 gigs in the last four years – wherever possible in Florence and surroundings (Perugia, Terni, Pistoia, Prato, Siena…) – also competing in various contests, like the Rock Contest 2007 (semi-finals), Indie Time (third place), Firenze Cambia Musica (second place) as well as show-cased radio transmissions and local TV. Together with other Florentine bands, they were chosen as “testimonials” for the publicity campaign of the clothing brand “Santafè”.
The Rent has opened concerts for “Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong" (UK), "The Futureheads" (UK), "Tronik Youth" (UK), "Sound Of Stereo" (BE), "Did", "Le Rose",“Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica”, “The Hacienda”, “Criminal Jokers”, “Too Much Blond”, “Tiger! Shit! Tiger! Tiger”, and many other important bands in the Italian scene.
In October 2010 the Rent released their first video clip of the single “Another Day/Another Way” from their last EP “Making Confusion”.
