It’s a dark and lonely land of dive bars, tumbleweeds and roadkill. The sun burns hot and the wind blows cold across the desert of Southern California. It’s here that a blood thirsty pack of three have united to create a sound all their own-influenced by 60’s garage/punk/surf style music. It’s a haunting sound of reverb laced mayhem and infectious energy. It Came From The Desert-it’s THE RESISTORS. Coyote: guitar/vocals, Vigh: bass guitar/backing vocals, and Moska es Rapido: drums. THE RESISTORS started with lead singer/guitar and founding member Coyote back in 2005. Coyote and then drummer Brutus Crombie set out to bring their vision of dark, sinister music to life. Coyote penciled together a pocket full of songs, and found himself with a strong vocal talent he never really recognized. They soon began playing shows, and THE RESISTORS were born. With a few lineup changes, the band currently has settled into perfection as a power trio. A triple threat dedicated to the bare bones simplicity of rock n roll music. Coyote is influenced by the legendary vocal talents of Jim Morrison, Roy Orbison and Eric Burden. The rhythm section comprised of Moska es Rapido & Vigh have fused loud, hard hitting drums with a rolling thunder of chunky bass guitar mixed with rock solid timing. Song titles like “On Your Knees”, “Evil”, and “Moonlight Killer” describe the culture of strippers, hot rods, horror, debauchery, lean loud live music. The band works hard at delivering a high energy show that people respond to. Soon fans will be able to respond to a debut album. Yes, THE RESISTORS have spent the early part of 2011 recording and plan to release a full length album along with dates to follow. Stay tuned, and we’ll see you on the next full moon, HOWL!
