Who is Fernandez Band?

Fernandez Band is a band not just any band, but a band consisting of family members who come from Corozal, Honduras. Their music shows growth within the Garifuna culture, easily naming them part of Garifuna history.

Their debut album released in the fall of 1999, "Llego La Familia Mayor", received high reviewsfrom garinet.com, fans from different parts of the United States and Honduras. In 2003, they achieved history with the 2nd debut "Rompiendo Cadenas' which focused on problems and the history of thier native country Honduras. Hits on the cd

include "Corozalina" written by Chichi and was sung by Gobana and Los Stallites and which is now currently sung by Puny Fernandez . After false rumors of the group splitting up, a new outlook on life has helped them reach their third cd "The Come Back". "The Come Back" was produced by Rony Fernandez, Kike Fernandez and Puny Fernandez. There is no reason why "The Come Back" should not be in the top five Garifuna Albums of 2009!
