The Quirky, the line between mad and brilliant, this is progressive blues, rock the freshest new talent in London. Absolutely engaging on-stage performance, starting with Davine's (guitar, vox) a London voice that adds a new edge to the current music scene. Mike's exhibitionist manner of playing, a natural master of the drum kit who will often end up playing the walls or anything within reach. Marina Young adds low down bass groove that ties the sound together. Over the last two years the Quirky have been gigging and developing the music for the Fresh Lies album playing at some of London's top underground music venues. Aiming to break the mold of the modern celebrity based music industry, the band's gritty sound short circuits the last half decade and taps into the karma of the Woodstock generation with all the outrageous creativity that the psychedelic revolution unleashed. A demo of 'Summer Beyond Repair' - the sixth track on the album - has been reviewed by Organ Magazine who described it as "sunny folky psychedelia laced with spoken word soundbites and delicate instrumentation, lots of bright colour".
