PURRR

PURRR is an electro-rave rock project from Toronto, Canada with front man/synth player Sam Cush, guitarist Roger Sader and DJ beat fabricator Will Organ.



Formed in 2006, the trio's unique sound can be summed up as sonically abrasive, infectious dance punk rock and trance trip metal mash.

Their first official release came in 2007 with the self-titled album "PURRR'" and was written, recorded and produced by the group. It was then mixed by PURRR and Rob Sanzo at the former Signal to Noise Studios in Toronto and Mastered by Roger Lian (known for Junior Vasquez, Limp Bizkit, Sum 41, Muse, Björk, LL Cool J) at Masterdisk in New York City.



Since 2007, the group has been PURRR-forming live in Toronto and across Canada, along with various shows in the United States, Middle East and parts of the North Atlantic. Playing in various high profile music festivals such as Canadian Music Week (CMW), Indie Week, The Summer Music Conference (SMC) and North by Northeast (NXNE), PURRR was named "Critic's Pick" by NOW Magazine's Michael Hollett for the 2008 NXNE Festival. In 2009, PURRR won "Best Live Showcase" at the Toronto Independent Music Awards (TIMA's). The following year, PURRR began recording their second record "Verted" with Toronto and Los Angeles based Producer Byron Wong (known for working with The Crystal Method, The Eurythmics, David Bowie and Beck). They took a brief hiatus soon after to redefine their sound and in 2012 added new member Will Organ to their musical line up, thus replacing their previous drum element with a live DJ.



Combining the groups various musical backgrounds, Roger of punk rock's influential past with Sam and Will in dance music's future, the newly redefined PURRR is grounded firmly in all kinds of electronic experimentation rolled into one. Visit their official website at www.makemepurrr.com.
