The Presence

Hailing from the inner city suburbs of Sydney, The Presence produces a dynamic “rocktail” by mixing hard-hitting riffs, contagious beats and roof-raising rhythms. The Presence’s modern brand of rock is influenced by rock ‘n’ roll legends Status Quo, AC/DC, The Angels and Bon Jovi as well as some heavier stuff including Megadeth, Metallica and Nirvana. The Presence writes, produces, promotes and performs its own original rock songs. The band is determined to be a pioneering artist in the digital age and is dedicated to reaching and inspiring people all over the world.
David Lancaster is the lead singer and bass player, Julian Leuzzi is the lead guitarist, Riley Moore is the rhythm guitarist and Matthew McHugh plays the drums. David and ‘Jules’ grew up in the same street and benefited from the tutelage of both David’s father Alan, a rock legend from the English band Status Quo, and neighbour John Brewster, the guitarist from The Angels. Matt is a lifelong friend of the Lancaster family and Riley grew up in the same suburb as the rest of the band.
The Presence stormed into the commercial rock scene with the release of their popular debut single ‘Now I know better’. The band's popular latest single 'All I want is your Love' and accompanying video clip has proved to be an epic follow-up.
In 2008 The Presence took to the stage at World Youth Day playing alongside artists such as Diesel and Vanessa Amorosi at the St Vinnies World Youth for Justice Charity concert. The band has been featured in interviews and performances on both radio and T.V. including Triple M’s Ugly Phil radio show and Channel 7’s Today Tonight (‘The New Generation of Rock’).
The Presence is planning to rock the socks off people worldwide on their debut overseas tour in 2011. So get your hardhats ready, because The Presence is coming to tear the roof down at a venue near YOU.
