PHINX

Hailing from North-eastern Italy, PHINX is a 4-piece band founded in 2007. Their music is a blend of electronic and rock elements with many other influences.



The Phinx's project starts out of an original idea by Francesco Fabris (voice, guitar, programs, synths) and Pietro Secco (bass), with the following addition of Alberto Paolini (drums) and lately Daniele Fabris (synths, sequencers).



It's only a matter of months after their birth and the release of their self-produced demo
"Bunker", when the Phinx are brought in the spotlight by winning the first Myspace Italian
contest and by staging concerts in different location around Italy.



In the year 2008 a contract is signed between the management agency Pianozero and the band, aimed at having Phinx's first album produced for Irma Records.
From then on the band embarked on a prolonged series of live concerts and acoustic performances (more than one hundred dates) in rock clubs, public events and music festivals, playing often side by side with well known names as Kap Bambino, Beady Eye, Alex Metric, Congorock, A Place to Bury Strangers, Roy Paci & Aretuska, Mgz, Minstri, Verdena etc.



In 2009 Phinx released their first single "The Gamer", whose related video, introduced by Mtv Music won a special prize at 2010 P.i.v.i contest by Mei (national meeting of independent labels).



In June 2010 is finally released Phinx's first comprehensive album named "Login", on sale at stores from September '10.
Their new single "Italian Job" has been chosen as "single of the week" by iTunes and aired in more than one hundred italian and foreign radios.
Italian Job's no-budget video has been self-made by the band in home garden and programmed on Virgin Radio Tv, DeeJay Tv, RockTv and Mtv Music, which in February 2011 chose Phinx as "band of the month". Four months later Phinx are part of the final eight performers singled out to perform in the main stage of Mtv Days 2011.
The year 2011 marks another remarkable step in the band's intense production enhancement as a new form of collaboration is set up with a roman coreographer and his four fellow dancers ensamble.
The project named "A Wall Door" is a blend of live music, dance, light design and visual projections represented in theatre.
Just before starting the Winter Tour '11 Phinx released a new self-produced, no budget clip of the titletrack "Login" and some "Login" remixes.
Phinx are currently on tour and working on their second album.
