Brandy Lindsey and the Punch is led by a gal who can not only sing and play her heart out, but write songs that make an instant connection with the listener. Brandy’s backed by pop-driven guitar licks, a dripping pedal steel, a melodic bass, groovy keys, and precise drumming. You’ll understand why these fellows were aptly named “The Punch.” • The band formed in 2007 and produced an EP entitled, “Songs We Know,” which showcased the bond they have as players. Since then, they’ve built on each other’s strengths and have dug deeper into that rootsy, rockin’ Americana sound. The band has gone on to play festivals, clubs, and on the radio all over the Southeast. • 2009 slowed down a bit while Brandy and husband/bass player started a family, but they’re back with new material and exciting shows on the books. • Be on the look out for their full-length CD called, “Forever a Fool,” to be released this year!
