CashaNova

Mark A Nieves (born September 18, 1986), also known as CashaNova or Nova for short, is an up and coming hip-hop artist based from Bronx, New York. He has a joint project scheduled for release in May of 2011, which he produced with long time friend Kid*Malcolm. CashaNova is the Chief Executive Officer of the record label Kings Legacy, which he launched mid 2010. Kings Legacy is a record label that was incorporated in Delaware. CashaNova developed a record label with intentions of producing honest and timeless Hip-Hop music independently.
Mark was born September 18, 1986 in Bronx, New York, to working class parents Sol Diaz and William Nieves. His parents separated just a few years later; his mother and two uncles then raised him. Nova's mother attended college while working two jobs to support him and she serves as an inspiration to him and everything he stands for today. He moved from New York City to Tampa, Florida at the age of 15 and later returned to New York when he was 17 years old, upon completing high school.
In the last 5 years CashaNova has lived in Miami, New York and Orlando, which can be attributed to his unique sound. He was like many other up and coming artists trying to get a record deal, but has now switched his focus to developing his very own recording label Kings Legacy. Nova hopes to inspire other artists to follow their dreams without losing sight of their goals. Mark had been influenced by Jay-Z, Eminem, Cam'ron and he also considers Rocafella records co-founder Damon Dash to be his favorite man of business.
