The new affair is based in Chicago, iL, from the ashes of several projects of drummer Carlos R. and Guitarist Tom M.

The band solidifies its particular music in the mids of 2006 with the inclution of singer Julian P. since then the band music direction was rapidly acquiring this interesting organic sound without losing their

attitude or musical influences. They have been described as “punk beats, twangy guitars, with rock vocals”. Others have labeled it,”indie punk” or ” art punk”.



The truth is , they just have a simple clean sound without the pirotecnia of a loud-overproduced record full of power-chords dubbings which is used more now these days.

Actually The new affair is releasing and promoting their first full-length CD “By accident By design” with the inclusion of their new bass-player Simon.
