Metal Roses began as a "could you imagine." conversation between Rob, Quiet Charlie and Condor in 1999. These 3 college friends always dreamed of having a band together, but circumstances beyond their control would make them wait for a while before that dream became a reality.

While Condor went missing in action for a couple of years, Q.C. and Rob continued their college careers as Mechanical and Electrical Engineers, respectively. In March 2004, Q.C. and Rob finally got together at Rob's house for an informal jam with Rob on drums/vocals and Q.C. playing lead guitar, where they were joined by Paul Jive on rhythm guitar and Fernand on bass. This was the first incarnation of Metal Roses, which lasted a couple of months until Fernand decided to leave because of scheduling problems.

After a coincidental meeting with Rob in Borders, Condor officially joined the band in October 2004, when Paul Jive decided to pursue other interests. Soon to join in were drummer Guillo and bass player Kiro. With this new incarnation of the band, Rob finally stepped out of the drum kit and into the frontman position. Although bass players came and went like a hooker on a cheap motel, this incarnation of the band (consisting of Rob on vocals, Q.C. & Condor on guitars, and Guillo on drums) lasted until October of 2005.

It was during this time that the band got tired of playing cover songs, and got into creating and playing their own music. The creative force of Rob, Q.C. and Condor lead the way for the birth of many songs in a short period of time. Due to increasing differences, Guillo decided to join another band more suitable to his latin style of percussion, so Rob had to take the sticks and the skins once again for a short period of time. If Guillo hadn't left, the band would have never met bass player Machete. Through an old friend, the band finally got a hold of drummer J. Flowers on December of 2005, when the studio version of Metal Roses was born.

With creative juices running high, the band went into the studio to record their debut album on February 2006, with a tentative release date of Spring '08. Songs like "Bullshit Island", "In The Queen's Honor", "Now I Say. Judgment Day", "My Frustration", "Road To Hell" and its sequel "Road To Sanity", as well as the spanish sung "Porque Me Tienes Tu" and "Solos", show the great diversity and musicianship that this band has to offer.

On July 2006, Machete took a leave of absence from the band, being replaced with bass player Dianma. On March 2007, J. Flowers moved to Italy, as part of his obligations with the Air Force, so he was forced to leave the band. Machete returned once again, but this time our old friend would come back as the awesome drummer of the band. Founding member Quiet Charlie left the band in late '07, due to personal reasons. We welcomed kick-ass bass player Gualbert Menendez into the fold, making this line-up of the new & improved Metal Roses the best one ever!

The band is back after a long hiatus to play around the different venues of the island. As of right now, the recording, mixing and mastering process on the album has been finalized, and as we speak the album is being sold at the shows. So, fear not my friends, Metal Roses will hopefully come to your town this Spring to promote the album. Keep On Rockin'!
