The Melocotons, storming the actual musical scene in Madrid were founded only a few years ago, June 2005. With a sound and vision that distilled the pure essence of post-'60s rock, their music is happy, simple & easy going. Three of the four members – drummer Guillermo Guzmán, guitarist Javier Doria, and bass Vidal Guzmán – had played together many times in the past. At first their performances were based in cover songs from great rock-legends such as The Beatles, The Who or The Kinks but with the arrival of César Fernández one year later the band started working on their own material.

After a few months they released their first recordings: "Peach Effect", a 7-track demo full of life and british inspiration; simply great. As anyone could have expected, they didn't take long to record a second demo; "Rainy crazy trip", showing us the tremendous speed at which they were musically growing. With more personal sound and better recording quality, this demo attracted a much larger audience to their shows and they were able to play in bigger clubs such as "Gruta77", "El Perro de la parte de atrás del coche" or "Chestrfield Cafe" in Madrid.

Back from Segovia, Toledo, Malaga and La Palma (Canary Islands), the boys started looking for a good studio to polish their songs. They got in touch with Paco Ortega, a Spanish eminence in the world of Flamenco and Pop music and after arranging the recording conditions they decided to give it a shot. At the moment they have finishged their first record in "Musigrama-studios" (Madrid) which will be released in September/08.
