Mantis Fist consist of OKI (vocals), XevacheAKAnobody (vocals, trumpet and production) and the TWIN WHIRLWINDS (production, turntablism). Based out of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Mantis Fist has toured the Southwest and beyond, feeding hungry ears in AZ, CO, UT, TX, NV, and CA. Mantis Fist hypnotizes with a unique blend of spiritually unifying lyrics above a broad spectrum of instrumentals which draw from the best of funk, soul, jazz, rock, reggae, dub-step, and everything else you love. Mantis has held their own on stage with many of today's greats including: SAGE FRANCIS, AKIL (Jurassic 5), LMNO (Visionaries), KEV BROWN, 2 MEX (Shape Shifters), LOUIS LOGIC, SMOKE (Old Dominion), SOLE (Anticon), BUS DRIVER, JOSH MARTINEZ, SLEEP and many more. Voted in the reader's poll BEST OF BURQUE 2006 issue of the Alibi as the "BEST HIP HOP BAND in ALBUQUERQUE," Mantis Fist also won "BEST HIP HOP BAND in NEW MEXICO" in the New Mexico Showcase Battle of the Bands '05.

MANTIS FIST'S first CD "ZEN ARCHERZ" is currently also available on CD BABY in limited supply. Their third album, as yet untitled, is currently in production.
