Defining one’s beauty can be a cumulative process, which will encompass a wide array of their attributes. Physically, we behold the statuesque frame of an urban goddess, the poise and presence of a seasoned superstar and the powerful sultry voice of the icon she will soon become. Starr Media Group presents to you the beautiful and talented Ms. Kira Bishop.



Kira Bishop was born and raised in Newark, NJ in Hayes Homes. As with too many of our urban youth, Kira was born into a single parent household where her mother had to feed, clothe and divide her attention amongst her and five siblings. As a result, her grandmother intervened by taking a special interest in her granddaughter. This led to her enrollment in The Newark Performing Arts Center at the age of 7 where Kira studied tap, ballet, and also took piano lessons. This road was not an unfamiliar one as her grandmother was no stranger to talent; she was a talented vocalist who spent most of her time singing in the church choir where the legendary Cissy Houston was the Minister of Music. These experiences helped her realize that Kira was gifted, prompting her to register the girl in local talent shows.



As a result of her phenomenal singing and dancing, Kira won her first talent show. This was the confirmation she needed to prove to herself that she could become a star. Show after show, contest after contest, Kira wooed her audiences while honing her performance skills. Her performances caused such a stir that a local talent manager approached her about joining a girl group he felt he could elevate to superstardom. With much hard work and practice, Kira and the group were signed to Universal Records. Performing at many locations, recording at the best studios and collaborating with some of the premier artists of that era, the group thought their prayers had been answered. Sadly, due to a few bad decisions made by their management team, the groups project was shelved and was never released.



After separating from the label, Kira spent some time reflecting on her life and career before she restarted her quest to accomplish her dreams. Working diligently on a solo project, she began solidifying herself as a budding star throughout the tri-state area referencing tracks and singing hooks for different producers. In the midst of her journey, she was approached by Dre Dinero CEO of Starr Media Group with an offer of a position as lead singer within the label’s hot new act called Trillogy. Now signed with SMG, Kira is the epitome of hard work, perseverance and dedication. Ladies and Gentlemen prepare yourselves for the sophisticated and talented Ms. Kira Bishop.
