Formed in 2007 by Will Hallauer, member of Seattle veterans the Turn-Ons, The Little Penguins debuted with Welcome to the Celebration, a full length album that arrested the attention of local music press and climbed the charts of indie behemoth KEXP. Over the next year the band became fixtures of Seattle's live music scene and toured the West Coast, in the meantime writing and recording the follow-up record Offer You This Cape. In Fall of 2010 the Little Penguins completed a third, Shapes and Shadows (which also ascended the KEXP variety charts), playing a single show in support of the album before completing the year on hiatus. In 2011 they return to the stage.
