Ollie Maides, James Newton, Ben Maides and Lawrence Hudson are the team. Ollie takes the mic centre stage, lead vocals that will roast your eardrums. James explodes on guitar and vocals. Ben carries the groove on drums. Lawrence, the magic-touch bass master.

LDP merge the perfect infusion of acoustic guitar - a Latin-flavoured uplifting, rhythmic drive - blended with powerful, driving drums. Then pour over a smooth collection of killer melodies, killer raps - ruthless precision.



Typically comparisons are diverse - new sounds always avoid easy definition - everything from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to the House of Pain, the wide pop appeal of Justin Timberlake to the ferocious energy of Rage Against The Machine. LDP defy classification, Hip Hop meets Rock meets Ska meets Latino, so many labels, but truly just one unique sound.



Now this unique sound is beginning to spread. The Fun Lovin' Criminals caught the bug and took Lockdown Project on tour with them across Europe. Cypress Hill and Kosheen displayed similar good taste, touring with the LDP and gifting their audience a taste of the next big thing. 300,000 people across Europe got to hear the LDP live - yet another 300,000 new recruits to the LDP fan army.



Inevitably, the Lockdown Project sound has now reached America. One of their potent tracks 'Everybody In The Morning' has been selected as the soundtrack to the USA

HIV awareness TV campaign. A new audience of over seventy million will be exposed to the hypnotic brilliance of LDP. The seeds are being planted, the band are preparing to reap the rewards.



Music this good has not come without sacrifice and perfectionism. Lockdown Project have carefully brewed their unique musical blend. Brothers Ollie and Ben were the LDP founding members. As they perfected their sound, guitarist James was brought in, then Lawrence's bass genius was added in 2002. The perfect final piece of the puzzle was in place. The Lockdown Project line-up has been breaking down barriers ever since.



To truly appreciate the band, witnessing a live performance is a prerequisite.
