THE KUNST CONSPIRACY:



Like a bullet greeting a deranged mind the sound of The Kunst Conspiracy is nothing less than a full frontal assault on the audio senses. The name of the band was chosen to describe their disturbingly harsh yet artistically beautiful sound that they could produce. Never writing a song that sounds similar to the last, TKC is a conspiracy of sounds - so to speak - fixated in a musical form. Music being a form of art, the German word kunst (translates to art) was incorporated into the name.



Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Nil Arguello formed an early version of the band under the moniker "Kunst" in Nov. 2002 in Greeley, CO. In early 2003 the band released a five song demo entitled The Perfect Nothing and released its first full length LP that following year called A Head Without A Clown. The albums sold well locally and Nil later re-located the project out to Northern California in 2004. The band soon caught the eye of Chicago based indie label Killing Jar Records and signed a recording and distribution deal with them in 2005. While in process of recording their 2nd full length album Machination, Killing Jar Records went out of business and folded leaving The Kunst Conspiracy to distribute and fund their own album via D.I.Y. The band soon signed another distribution deal with CDBaby.com and developed a hard hitting unstoppable DIY attitude and released Machination in the summer of 2006 on their own.



The band has since caught attention over seas in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan, and throughout the United States as well via regular rotation on FM, internet, and underground radio stations abroad. Such as 106.7FM Z-Rock, Lansingerland FM, Gramie Dee's Autopsy Report, and Extreme Radio. The band has since sold well over 2,500 copies of their albums with their unique metal sound. Ranging from influences such as: industrial, black metal, gothic, thrash, and power metal, The Kunst Conspiracy is a one of a kind unique dark melodic metal band.



The band went on a two year hiatus in 2007-2009 as Nil finished his Bachelors Degree at CSU, Chico and played guitar in his side project Tornado Wolves as well as serving as a live guitarist for 13th Planet artist BLOWNLOAD on the LuBriCaTOUR featuring THE REVOLTING COCKS.



After the Revolting Cocks tour Nil reformed The Kunst Conspiracy in end of 2009 with bassist Forester Savage, Matt Blackmore on keys, Jeff Vandegrift on drums, and Chase Chevallier on guitar. The band has since shared the stage with such acts as: SHADOWS FALL, CHIMAIRA, and thrash metal legends EXODUS. The band will be recording a brand spankin' new EP later this year in 2010.
