Making Hip Hop Sexy with The K.I.D. Heat
Everyone is always looking for that new sound. California born and Alaskan Native American, Archie Peterson aka The K.I.D. Heat has been living it for years. Most rap artists can't sing and few singers can rap but he is the real rhythmic deal. His debut single Natural Beauty from self titled album, King In Disguise due out in 2012 is hitting radio November 2011. "Natural Beauty is a celebration of the beautiful women who possess this quality that gives intense pleasure to the mind, without them having to try so hard," says The K.I.D. Heat.
Dignity, family and mic in hand he is making music that he hopes will change the world, starting with his own life. Since he was 12 he found a way to make lemonade from the lemon life handed to him by creating music that could lift those around him. Raised by a single mother with his 2 brothers, he moved from city to city but music was always his saving grace. He sought out a career in radio as a mixing DJ, produced, engineered and wrote songs for himself and many independent artists around him.
After recording himself singing on a track as a concept to present to someone else, he thought, "this sound is different and no one else is doing it [hip hop with a touch of R&B]. It feels like I am making hip hop sexy."
Transforming notes into lyrical genius in a natural way that makes the people around him sit and wonder, where do these melodies come from; he is spiritually and mentally lifted to a level where he puts himself inside of a beat, and writes his way out to create passionate, moving music.
Influenced by a multi-genre of music from alternative sounds like, The Cure and Sublime, to classic rap like Dr Dre and Tupac, The K.I.D. Heat is looking to give the world music they can't get from anyone else.
"Music is my savior. I can always write a song and it makes me feel better, it's my hope that it does the same for other people. That's why I fought so hard to get here to share my music with the world."
