The Kalashnikov Orchestra

The Kalashnikov Orchestra accually started to play together back in 2001, but back then they called the band No Retreat and played pure Oi!

In 2004 Johan, Julius and Thomas wanted a fresh start, and with a new drummer they changed the band name to The Kalashnikov Orchestra and got a wider view when it came to influences. Since we listen punk from every corner of the world, and to every kind of punk rock that exist wich make our style reflect our influences but it still comes out in a uniqe way.

Between 2005 and 2007 The Kalashnikov Orchestra played a lot of shows and recorded demos. Most of the demo reviews were good, some were great and someone thought that we should practice more insted of being out on the streets drinking and fighting. The songs from the demos got some air-time on diffrent radio shows.

In 2007 The Kalashnikov Orchestra desided to take some time off to think everything through and lay low for a while because our last gigs pretty much ended in chaos.

In Karlskrona everything went fine until after the show when we all got shit-faced and got into a fight with some local nazis. The night ended with Johan leaving the rest of the boys in a police car. A couple of days later we played in Roskilde, Denmark. While we were waiting to enter the stage we had to much time to kill, and to much to drink. Some of us could barely stand when we started playing, don't think we have to mention that the show was a disaster. After the show when we were leaving the venue a fight broke out, someone got cut with a knife and once again, Johan left the rest of the boys in the backseat of a police car.



2008 and we are back with a bang! Another demo is going to be finished this spring and we are booking shows once again.



Our main goal is and have always been to put out music that we would enjoy our selves. We want to encourage people to fight for what ever you feel is right, stand up and fight what you feel is wrong. We want to let you hear the sound of a fucked up and pissed off generation whos gonna chop your leg of if you step on our toes!

"KALASHNIKOV ORCHESTRA-GUARDIAN DEVIL(MINI-CD) When I put on this record with this Swedish group I get a flashback and I think back to the beginning of the 80s and when this type of English punk came to the world. Fast, melodic punkrock but without sounding as a band like Bad Religion and here it was more groups like GBH; Major Accident and Business which have been the influences for this group. I can imagine that a record label as Kjell Hell would be interested in the group if I would say something or give someone an advice. Lion in a concrete jungle have got a little bit of skainfluenced sound and that dont hurts…(SEVEN) 8/11-06"
