The Jeevas

This a space made in honour of the jeevas, for all of you fans out there who love their music as much as I do!



The Jeevas are a British band, and a damn good one at that! The three members are Crispian Mills (vocals, guitar), Andy Nixon (drums), and Dan McKinna (bass). Mills was previously the vocalist of Kula Shaker, while Andy Nixon and Dan McKinna are previous members of the band Straw.



"Their 2002 self financed debut 1-2-3-4 had overwhelming potential. "Cowboys And Indians' feels like a group scrambling up a ladder of musical invention two rungs at a time. From the choppy opening riff of Black And Blue to the closing campfire camaraderie of Rio Grande, singer/guitarist Crispian Mills, bassist Dan McKinna and drummer Andy Nixon are in stunning form. Welcome to The Jeevas' difficult second album. That's a laugh. The trio have never enjoyed the studio more and Cowboys And Indians was recorded at breakneck speed in what some might reckon were all the wrong circumstances."

The Jeevas are one of the guest bands appearing on the charity album “School of Braja”- Out now. The album, a fund raiser for the school of New Braja, in Northern California, features performances by students of the school, all of whom are trained in Indian devotional music and singing.
