The Jacs



The Jacs are a 4-piece band from Liverpool, England. Since forming in early 2007, The Jacs have established themselves as one of Merseyside's most unique and independant bands. Writing and performing original 60s-style tunes, The Jacs have developed a loyal fanbase throughout the North West and have made a name for themselves on the Liverpool music scene.



2008 saw the band play to multiple sold-out crowds at Liverpool's O2 Academy as they reached headline-act status, as well as opening for touring bands such as Delays and The Rascals. In the summer of 2008, The Jacs recorded a 4-track demo in a private studio in Leeds, working with producer/musican Rich Huxley. After the tracks recieved airplay on BBC Radio Merseyside, The Jacs were invited in for a studio session in late 2008 in which the band performed two exclusive acoustic tracks for 'The Pool' with Dave Monks.



Marking the end of a great year for The Jacs, the band's last show of 2008 was a sold-out AMG Homecoming show with The Rascals at the Liverpool O2 Academy.



After working on a selection of new tunes, The Jacs embarked on a string of UK dates in 2009. Throughout May and June, the band played high-profile shows in Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and London as well as a hometown show at Liverpool O2 Academy. In addition to the nationwide dates, 2009 has also seen The Jacs confirm slots at Liverpool's Sound City Festival and the 2009 Summer Pops.
