It all started when the drummer, Håkon Gebhardt casually bought himself a banjo. Then Motorpsycho was signed to do the soundtracks to an Italian spaghetti western, created by a man named Theo Buhara.
Both the movie and the producer, probably never existed. As far as I know, no one has ever seen it. But a review of the movie exists on the web, from the movie The Tussler .
With directors, producers and actors.
I dont know if we ever will know the answers we have about this movie, but the myth is alive, and always will, as long as we have this great album.
The album "Theo Buhara presents: the Tussler-Original motion picture
soundtrack" came out in 1994, and probably is the best country album in Norway ever. Only 977 cd copies were released in Norway with orange plastic, and 980 cds with green plastic (indigo Gmbh,Hamburg) released in Germany. There were 500 vinyl-copies released in Germany only. (Numbers are appx.)
In 2003, the band decided to re-publish the album including 10 more songs.
After that it was pretty quiet around the band, and many thought they never would come back. Until the album "Motorpsycho presents the international Tussler society" came out 09.06.04.
Tussler did it again, they made an amazing country-rock like album with 12 incredible songs, maybe even better than before. Tussler went on tour for 2 months through Norway, Germany and Netherland.
The song "Satans Favorite Son" was a big radio hit. Hopefully it doesn't take them another 10 years before their next album.
