The Hebrew Boys are a talented group of young men. They range between the ages of 19-21. These young men have been singing for 14 years. It started 14 years ago with two brothers and their cousin (Alex Jackson, Alvin Jackson II, and Joshua Golden). Then they decided they needed more singers and musicians so they added two more people to the group (Lawrence Roberson Jr. and Antonio Brown). After fully becoming a group in 2001, the Hebrew Boys started celebrating Anniversaries. By the 2nd Anniversary another member was added, Jewan Shields (2002).
They released their first CD in 2002 entitled: "Still Standing". With this CD came the hit songs: "Standing On the Promise" written by Alex Jackson, Alvin Jackson II, Joshua Golden, and Jewan Shields; "You Kept Me" & "Get Up and Praise Him" both written by Jewan Shields; "On This Journey", "God oh God", & "He's Watching" all written by Alvin Jackson II; "We Need Your Help", "I'm Going Home, and "Keep Working for Jesus" all written by Alex Jackson. They also released their 2nd CD entitled: "I Wanta Feel Your Power" in April of 2007. This CD produced such hits as: "Higher Place", "Lord Remember Me", & "I Wanna Feel Your Power" all written by Alex Jackson; "By Your Grace" and "I Found A Friend" which features Emmanuel's recording Artist, Rev. Andrew Cheairs, both written by Jewan Shields and "All I Need" written by Rondell Blair. The CD also consists of renewed and refreshed hits from the first CD such as: "He's Watching", "On This Journey", "Standing On the Promise", "God oh God", and "You Kept Me".
These young men have traveled extensively every since they began. Every weekend they are out on a mission for God. Being from Mississippi, they have traveled to just about every city in Mississippi, at least once. They have also sang in many other states across the U.S. They'v been to many cities in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. These young men love to travel and meet new people and new gospel groups.
These young men have shared the stage with many of today's "Gospel Greats" such as: Lee Williams, the Gospel 4, the Canton Spirituals, Rev. Cheairs & the Songbirds, Keith "Wonderboy", Darrell McFadden & the Disciples, the late great Howard "Slim" Hunt & the Supreme Angels, Doc McKenzie & the Hi-Lites, The Williams Brothers, Spencer Taylor & the Highway QC's, Nicole C. Mullen, Redemption, The Sumpreme Voices, and many others. These are just a few of the many groups they've shared the stage with.
The Hebrew Boys did their 3rd CD with their 1st ever Live Recording in Columbus, MS at the Tabernacle of Faith & Deliverance Church of God, on Sept. 20, 2008 at 6:00 pm. These are some "Annointed" and "Appointed" young men with a vision to do God's kingdom work. Thank you and God Bless each & every one of you!!
Since then the boys have lost their mother and manager, Chaplain Mary Jackson. They sincerely need your prayers as they try to continue the legacy left behind.
