The Heather Edwards Band is a group of extraordinary talented musicians combining years of performing experience to bring a dynamic and exciting stage show to your venue! The band won top Country Band in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 from M.E.O.N.A, one of the oldest local music websites. Their set list includes a wide variety of the best-hit songs from todays top New Country and Rock female artists as well as Classic Rock and Southern Rock favorites. Sheryl Crow, Gretchen Wilson, Melissa Etheridge, Joe Cocker, Sara Evans, Rolling Stones, Terri Clark and Fleetwood Mac are just a few of the many artists they cover. Their high-energy show keeps the dance floor packed and the crowd wanting more from the first note to the last! See below for individual member bios.



Heather Edwards



Heather Edwards, the lead singer, brings years of performing experience and an incredible voice to the band. Her strong vocals are easily mistaken for national Country Artists like Martina McBride, Faith Hill, and Gretchen Wilson and even more surprising is her ability to sing powerful vocals of Melissa Etheridge and Sheryl Crow. Heather has recently won female vocalist in 2005, 2006 and 2007 from M.E.O.N.A, one of the oldest local music websites. Heather competed and won first place in Altavista , Virginia , WKDE hosted local competition for the "Colgate Country Showdown" which makes her a state finalist at the Virginia State Fair in September 2006. This is her second time competing as a state finalist in the Colgate Country Showdown. She was also invited to perform at the Annual Pepsi Independence Day Celebration in Johnson City , Tennessee , July 4th, 2004 before an audience of 50,000. The Heather Edwards Band has continued to play there for the last two years. Her current cd "Better Off Friends" includes current "New Country" covers from artists such as Faith Hill and Martina McBride, "Old Country" favorites, as well as a couple of original songs. Tom Gogarty



Plays electric, acoustic guitars and flute, and sings lead and backup vocals. Tom has been playing for many years and is a highly skilled and accomplished musician and vocalist who has performed and toured with many bands along the Eastern Seaboard. Locally, his most well-known band was the classic rock group "Midnight Fury." He occasionally sits in with Jerry Lee Scott.



EQUIPMENT: Tom Gogarty uses 1967 Gibson ES-335, Crate amp and a Roland GT-6 effects pedal, as well as a Gemeindhardt flute.



Harold Glynn



Harold Glynn has been playing guitar since the age of 15. His skill and talents have all been self taught and include some keyboards and acoustic guitar. His recent endeavors included playing with 32 South who opened for Confederate Railroad at the Portsmouth Seawall Festival,Wooden Nickel who was a headliner at the VA Pork Festival with approximately 12-15,000 in attendance, and Smoking Gunz who opened up for Darrell Worley and Chely Wright, two consecutive years at Hampton Bay Days. Harold plays Tom Anderson and Fender guitars through Dr. Z amps.



Nathan Firth



Nathan Firth (AKA Chachi) from Poquoson, Va. Nathan has been playing music since the age of 10. He has played drums since his start in music and in the last few years has also taken up guitar. Nathan has been writing and singing songs as long as he can remember. Hearing him sing, you might be reminded of Kenney Chesney. Nathan has played with local bands "Attic 1013" and "Free Beer and French Fries" throughout the Tidewater area. He also won his 3rd grade Spelling Bee and is a National Shuffleboard Champion. Nathan plays drums and sings lead and backup vocals for the Heather Edwards Band.



Equipment: Pearl Export Select Series drums, Zildjian cymbals, Gibraltar Hardware and Vic Firth sticks. Nathan also plays a Taylor GB-110 acoustic guitar.



Bill Culliton



Bill Culliton has been playing music in the Hampton Roads area for more than twenty years. He is well known among local musicians for being a rock solid and dependable bassist. Along with country music he also enjoys playing rock, blues, and dance. Also an accomplished acoustic guitarist, his instrument of choice will always be the bass in any serious ensemble he joins. However, you can occasionally find him at local open mics singing and playing his Takamine.



Equipment: Ibanez TR series 5-string bass with Ernie Ball custom gauge strings. He is currently using a Hartke 3500 amplifier and 4x10 cabinet (or sometimes a SWR 2x10)
