The Four Horsemen

In 2004 Judgment Hammer set out (initially under the moniker of "The Four Horsemen") to restore to thrash metal its former glory of the days when long instrumental passages, melodic chorus and verse sections, complex song structures, technical guitar harmonies, and thunderous rhythms reigned supreme. With the release of their "Rebirth of Thrash" and "Restoring Order" demos in 2006, the band initiated an ongoing promise that it would do just that; and with the release of the debut album, "Arbiter of Fate," in 2009 the band kept that promise. Hailing from the most unlikely place for thrash metal, the Bitterroot Valley and Missoula, Montana, Judgment Hammer has amassed an arsenal of weapons with which to set itself apart from the rest. Included among these are all those characteristics which made the great thrashers of the 80's so intriguing; maximum energy, full throttle speed contrasted against glorious mid-paced melodies, mostly distorted rhythms with bursts of clean, and the sheer unpredictability which makes thrash metal what it is.
