Working Hard or Hardly Working? Working on finishing up the album finally, it is tentatively called "DESTROY, REPRESS, REBUILD, REPEAT" and it has been a long long time coming. We have been though about five drummers now(not counting auditions), two guitar players, three bassists and three singers(not counting the ill fated attempts of Jacob and former guitar payer Harrison Spencer).
The Foster Portfolio have played shows all over the midwest with lots of great local and noational bands such as;
KILLED BY THE 1ST, THE FELIX CULPA, SPICOLIE, ASKING AUTUMN, RE VERA, BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE, SPITALFEILD, EMORY, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, SILVERSTEIN, THE SUICIDE MACHINES, THE INHERITANCE, GHOST OF MAINE, GWEN STACY, MOTION CITY SOUNDTRACK and THE ALL AMERICAN REJECTS to name a few.

The vast influences can be heard on all the songs but do make the mistake of thinking TFP is another run of the mill local band who steals riffs and melodies from other bands. The INFLUENCES is there, NOT the riffs and melodies. In other words if you're a fan of Hopesfall/Brand New/Circa Survive/At the Drive In style hardcore principles and technicality you will be impressed. If you are a fan of Modest Mouse, older Death Cab for Cutie and older Jimmy Eat Worlds Clarity then you will also love the new stuff, particularly the interludes with their lush instrumentation and quarky style.
Look for the final product to be ready for the world around the beginning of the year 2011. If you are interested in where you can find the album email the band at paul_is_free@yahoo.com because, despite all the effort TFP put into perfecting and recording this album they are fully aware no one will ever hear it. The boys will gladly mail you a copy free of charge if you are to broke to afford it.
Any young ladies/gentleman interested in helping TFP garner a little more of the success they probably deserve can also email them and request some free demos to pass out along with stickers and buttons.on them.
