It is 1992: Our singer Oli forms the band in Mannheim, Germany, being only 16 years of age. Some turbulent years follow, band members come and go and The Flames get into a real Rockabilly passion. In 2000, our debut album SLICKER is released. Two years later, we have our big break-through – thanks to our retro single “Everytime”. With this song, we shoot to fame in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Virtually over night we become part of the “normal madness” of the pop industry. From now on, it’s tour after tour – until the end of 2004. In 2005 we release our second album, named STRIKE A LIGHT. A terrific football year starts and we are back on the road: During the world championship, we play some gigs and we also hit the festival-stage here and there.



With CAUTION: HEAT INSIDE, our third album is now in the starting blocks. It’s the first one with the new cast – Oliver, Martin, Andrés and Philipp, who has joined us in 2006. Our new creation has rocking heart and soul: With our edgy riffs, soft ballads, fast disco and surf songs we don’t want to submit to a certain genre. But listen for yourself: In April we will start our live release tour across Germany. See you then!

Wir schreiben das Jahr 1992: Im Alter von gerade einmal 16 Jahren gründet unser Sänger Oli in Mannheim die Band. Es folgen turbulente Jahre mit wechselnden Bandmitgliedern, in denen die große Leidenschaft „Rockabilly“ gelebt wird. 2000 erscheint schließlich das Debutalbum SLICKER. Der große Durchbruch gelingt uns zwei Jahre später – mit der Retro-Nummer „Everytime“. Schlagartig macht uns der Song in Deutschland, der Schweiz und Österreich bekannt – praktisch über Nacht landen wir im ganz normalen Wahnsinn der professionellen Popmusikbranche. Von da an reiht sich in unserem Terminplan Tour an Tour – bis Ende 2004. Unser zweites Album STRIKE A LIGHT veröffentlichen wir 2005. Im grandiosen Fussball-Jahr sind wir bereits wieder on the road, spielen Gigs im Rahmen der WM und einiger Festivals.



Mit CAUTION: HEAT INSIDE steht nun unser drittes Album in den Startlöchern – das erste in der Besetzung Oliver, Martin, Andrés und Philipp, der seit 2006 dabei ist. Es steckt jede Menge Rocker-Herzblut in unserem neuen Werk: Mit unseren kantigen Gitarrenriffs, ruhigen Balladen, tempogeladene Disco- und Surf-Nummern wollen wir uns keinem bestimmten Genre unterwerfen. Aber hört selbst – im April starten wir unsere Live-Releasetour quer durch Deutschland. Wir sehen uns dann.
