The trio formed in 2004 and have gone on to ignite an interest in their substance throughout the city of Halifax and beyond. At times The Establishment might be considered dc punk in the vein of bands like fugazi, also incorporating elements of sludge rock and sometimes indie rock It all depends on the song or even the moment in the song. They are a rare breed, a band that tries to break the barriers between hardcore punk and indie rock.
