The Escape Frame was formed in November of 2005 by Dustin Phillips and Chris Harvey. They found a house, moved in, and collectively assembled a studio in order to pursue one objective: the creation of beautiful music that one could lose themself in. With endless directions to take, bright and intricate music was arranged, layered by colorful vocal melodies and harmonies to compliment. As the songs were shaped and came to life, Dustin and Chris realized the world needed to hear such wonderful creations. With the help of other great musicians, the two formed a complete band that was able to capture the unique sound of their original recordings. They began performing live in June of 2006 and attracted label attention immediately.

By 2007 a contract was offered by Immortal Records. A record was recorded over five weeks, throughout January and February 2007, at the Jackalope Studio in Montgomery, AL. The full length album, twelve songs long, was engineered and recorded by Andy Jackson, singer of Hot Rod Circuit and Death in the Park. Half of the record was mixed by Andy and The Escape Frame at the studio, while the rest was mixed by Tim O’Heir who has worked on records by such well known bands as the All American Rejects, Say Anything and The Starting Line.

Immortal Records quickly began promoting and exposing The Escape Frame’s original rock sound, bringing a considerable amount of attention to the band. Media plays and website hits quickly grew as their fan base exploded, made up of people desiring to listen to their influential Indie/dance music.

The debut album was scheduled for a Fall release in 2007. However, before the record could make it to the shelves, The Escape Frame signed with another label: End Sounds. Since signing with End Sounds, The Escape Frame's music is being played over 145 radio stations across the US and they have created a line of unique merchandise available online. Their self-titled album is available for sale in stores across the country as well as online at I-Tunes and Amazon.

The Escape Frame has recently performed at SXSW in Austin, TX. The band is creating new music all the time, focusing – as always – on making poetic, intricate sounds that express beauty and positivity.
