The Embracers are a self-funded, full time touring Rock and Roll band from New Jersey. In January 2009 the group first performed together to a sold out crowd at Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ. Shortly thereafter, they began pre-production on their debut self-titled EP which is currently available on iTunes and at all live performances. The record was mixed by Joe McGrath (Green Day, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker) and mastered at Chung King Studios in NYC. The group has been booked for well over one hundred performances, and has toured throughout twenty plus states in the continental US. The Embracers have developed a respectable fan base and are gaining recognition within today's music scene exponentially.
Highlights: The Embracers have played to full capacity crowds in several states along their home coastline, and have also been featured acts on multiple festivals alongside several national acts (Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms, Pete Yorn, They Might Be Giants, and several others). In September 2010 The Embracers purchased their own recording studio, and have since been using it to rehearse and record their first full-length record. The Embracers were spotlighted in Paste Magazine's "Up and Coming Artists" issue, and the band's first single, "Downtown Blues" was featured in the magazine's sampler CD as well. The Embracers have performed live on "The Core", Rutgers University radio, and on 91.9 WNTI. They have also received radio promotion on 101.9 WRXP, and were interviewed live on 90.5 "The Night" NPR.
"The Embracers are an excellent band from the northern New Jersey/NYC area, and man, they can rock the hell out of a gig. They are a tough act to follow."
