Electric Co., a band with international projection that belongs to the new breed of rock hailing form Mexico City, they started with live performances in 2005, with the idea of taking back rock in it's purest form and expression.

In 2006 they released an EP called "My Birds" , entered "The Global Battle of the Bands" won in the finals here in Mexico City over 1,500 other Latin American bands, and then went on to get the 4rth place in the global final in England, at the London Astoria. Where they saw competition from 30 other bands from all over the world. Shortly after, they returned to Mexico City and were a part of yet another big music contest, the first edition of "Vive Cuervo and Roll", which they also won.

A huge tour was organized by a mayor phone company called "Gira Rockampeonato Telcel”, and Electric Co. was summoned to be a part of it as an opening act for the final tour of huge Mexican band Molotov.

A part of the line up in the enormous festival "Corona Music Fest" in 2007, which took place in one of the largest venues in the world the "Azteca Stadium". Also worth mentioning, is their third participation in the excellent "Rockarga: Musica para los Dioses" Festival. Which has as a venue one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Teotihuacán Pyramids.

Probably the most important Latin festival called "Vive Latino”. Rocked with Electric Co. in 2008, along with "Rock del Rio Mexico" later that year, the later, a feat witch they will repeat again in '09.

In 2008 Electric Co. released their fist album, a 10 sing rock masterpiece called "I".

Driven by their musical revelry, aggressive lyrics, heavy early Zeppelin-like riffing, brutal ala’ Keith Moon drumming, and rhythmic ear-pounding bass that would make Lemmy Kilmister proud, they take the stage with a unique energy, thunderous and electrifying, proving that ROCK N' ROLL has no language, and above all IT AIN'T DEAD.

Freak Tu Show

ELECTRIC CO.

by Toli Galanis (writer and rock journalist of NYU)

Electric Co. is one of the most promising bands

shaping the Mexico City rock scene today. With their

hard-edged tracks and energy-fuelled live shows, the

four-piece brings a refreshingly old concept to

rocknroll: rebellion.

Driven by some impressive lyrics and frenetic song

effects, Electric Co. sound like early Led Zeppelin

being filtered through Motörheads bass lines,

all laden atop the heavy drums of Keith Moon. The

result: a melodic alchemy that is fiery and

innovative.

The Mexico City rockers Sadi on vocals, Kike on

bass and Andy on guitar address

the gulf between the values of modern rocknroll and

the notion that music can shape society. They churn

out this message to a rapidly growing fanbase with

performances that incorporate a brash garage rock

attitude in the vein of Motörhead and owe a great

deal to AC/DC and the Rolling Stones.

Electric Co. is looking to become the firebomb of

the new musical movement in Mexico City.
