DASTARDS

Dastards are a Bristol based Dark Indie band who have been playing together since 2008. Over the past few years they have played hundreds of gigs, released two five track EPs, three singles and briefly entered the official charts. The band are now writing new material and preparing to release their first full length studio album in late 2010.
The four musicians come from very different musical and social backgrounds: Daniel started playing guitar aged four along to Bob Dylan and David Bowie; George spent his youth gleaning tips from all the guitar greats; Jake is a classically trained double bass player with a secret Howard Moon-esque passion for Jazz and Mudie studied drums at the Brighton Institute of Modern Music where he gained a Distinction.
The band are currently operating as their own independent label, leaving them in control of everything from their studio sound to their advertising. This means that as well as being members of the band they act as PR men, booking agents, promoters, sound engineers and even graphic designers.
While happy with running everything in house due to the liberty it brings, Dastards are keen to find a means to thrust them into the public eye, and, by the looks of things, there's a good chance it might happen soon.
