Subject: The return of the Daggers
Well, Christian moved back from Philly and the Daggers are back on, bay-BEEEE!!! It's been too long, but we are now booking shows and have already played a couple low-key warmup gigs. There will be no Daggers "Reunion" show, that bullshits not our style. As far as we are concerned we never left. The Daggers is not some pissant rock band, the Daggers are the Daggers. Down for life.
It is the same lineup as before; me, Rob, Christian, and the Benz because it has to be that way. We already have some new tunes finished and will be going into the studio in early winter, and will have the new album released by April. We have decided to forgo playing every weekend in Chicago to play more out of town shows, so check back for dates.
I also want to send out a thanks to Paul Masher for stepping up to the plate and subbing for Christian and Dan when needed to help us get the chops back.
I also want to send out some props to the Long Beach Daggers, which is a new band featuring legends Eddie Reategui and Dave Duncan. Those guys helped make me what I am today. Fuck-they're the reason we're the Daggers! That Alva ad, with them all on the fire escape? Shit, those guys were my IDOLS. So, hopefully we can do some stuff together with them and expand the Daggers deathgrip on the rock world.
