The Curse Of Bert

“The Curse of Bert” are a newly formed 5 piece outfit from Kiama on the South Coast of NSW. They have been described as a mix of bands such as Rage Against the Machine, Grinspoon and The Butterfly Effect. The Curse of Bert began with longtime friends, guitarists Ben Kerr (formerly of CREEPER) ,Kiel Steel and drummer Andrew Ellsmore jamming regularly for fun at various garages.

In early 2006 they decided to try there tunes out to an audience calling on members of local covers band SPITROAST, Evan Langham (Bass) and Aaron Murphy (vocals) to join and write songs for what is now THE CURSE OF BERT.

After there first show in September 2006 they have since traveled up and down the East Coast playing there own hard rock stylings and wowing crowds, club owners and the rock community alike.



In this short time they have shared the stage with some of Australias top rock and metal acts including:-PARKWAY DRIVE (Byron Bay)

2008 looks like a big year for THE CURSE OF BERT after they won a music poll to support Byron Bay hardcore act PARKWAY DRIVE. As well as more headlining shows being confirmed around the region. Play some BERT OR F%K OFF!
