The Conquistadors

xx are returning May 2010 with their new album Citiscapes. The lead off single will be called "Kill The Light" and it will hit the airwaves March/April.



Citiscapes tells stories of the loneliness of living in a city in the 21st century. Where people can live just a couple feet apart from each other without ever exchanging a word of a friendly nod. Where people grow into this loneliness and by habit start destroying the relationships they've stumbled onto, just to reach a seemingly perfect autonomy of oneself. Where even the loneliest of people are part of the big picture that is the city, where they give the character and face to the township.



Musically Citiscapes glimmers and shines just the outline of a city in the morning light. It is a pop record that also sees murky shadows and tragedies that are enclosed inside the walls of any apartment building.
