THE MERCHANT BOYZ continue their triumphant march through the sound scan obsessed quandary called the Music Industry. Once again stepping to the forefront to proudly wave the O.C.U. Banner come the brothers Nez and Cochise, who are what’s left from the group that hails from Kankakee, Illinois, often referred to as the “Killa Keyz”! They give their listeners an audio and visual glimpse of a city filled with despair that offers its residents the slimmest chance for hope. They are like a pot of gumbo creatively. They might sound like east coast emcees, but they can adapt to any type of beat and out shine that beat. Most of their songs have been produced by DJ Vudu Grammy Award Winning Producer, Juan Veret -engineer extraordinaire, Dj Red, Nameless1, BReal, Chip, and DMos to name a few. There is a brilliant combination of Hip Hop, soul, and rawness that permeates throughout their debut CD “Miss Mary’s Kids” with an underlying sense of optimism, thus becoming a beacon for those that have become disenfranchised with the questionable state of HIP HOP. They are the antidote of not just Hip Hop, but also will reach their plateau and will impact all aspects of the music field, entertainment industry, the corporate world, their community, and the whole world.
