The City Creeps

The City Creeps are a four piece punk band out of Buffalo N.Y. The band started in August of 2004, shortly before Melody and Brittany’s all girl band The Klix broke up. Some how they met Rob who was playing guitar for A Global Waste at the time. This band played a few shows then became Oppressed Youth and Rob left the band and started making music with Melody and Britt. Soon after forming The City Creeps and playing a good amount of shows (back in the day) @ Voelkers bowling alley, and The Access Info Shop on Main St. (R.I.P.) we came out with a 4 track demo CD self produced with Hey Captain! Productions in 2004. After the release of this CD we decided to add Becca as our bassist and Melody was only doing vocals. We stuck with Becca for about a year and recorded 2 CD’s with her in 2005 on Hey Captain! Productions, After the full length was released we added a new member to the band making us a 5 piece for a short while. Rich (who now plays guitar for a local Ska/Punk band N.K.O.T.R.)played lead guitar parts in some of our old songs and the new songs we put on the split that we did with Knife Point by a Drag Queen (R.I.P.) a local ska band in the area. In July of 2005 Becca had left the band, however still very heavily involved in music with her new band Metanoiaand her Solo Project.After she left we searched for a new bassist and with in a few weeks we hooked up with Mike D. who was playing bass for an awesome local ska band at the time,

(R.I.P. but check them out). After this final line up we played together for about a year writing new music but we never recorded anything. We took a looooong break for about a year but we are back in January 2008! The line up is Melody – Vocals, Rob- Guitar, Mike D. – Bass, and Brittany – Drums. We plan to write new material, record some stuff, and hopefully do some touring in the future. It feels good to be back!
