"Sharp, Smart & Snappy!"

- HUW STEPHENS RADIO 1

.

"The Kiara Elles sound so fresh and young that I feel slightly seedy just for listening to them.they sound like something a character from Skins would listen to and I wouldn't be surprised if their producers are paying close attention too." - THE FLY

.

"“Slide Over” dances on the grave of landfill indie with its fusion of beats and angular guitar work in which the Elles manage to combine the finer aspects of new wave, electro, punk and pop. It’s accessible, melodic and possibly cooler than the Fonz’s cryogenically frozen thumb undergoing Bose-Einstein Condensation" - 9/10 THE VP MUSICAL EXPRESS

.

"One of those out-of-nowhere indie records that has the man in the street singing along to a guitar riff. Odio will go blog > indie disco > charts > car advert in a matter of months. Enjoy it while you can bear it"

- THE GUARDIAN

.

""Routine" hurtles from the speakers like it's running for the night bus home, all chaos and cool" - 9/10 AU MAGAZINE

.

"Defiantly scratcy, the songs rely on basslines of Emma Quick to propel them towards the indie dancefloor.and singer Chiara Lucchini masters the art of making pithy observations in a seemingly disinterested tone. Another band to watch" - THE YORKSHIRE EVENING POST

.

"Indie-synthi-electroy-dance for the win."Slide Over" impresses and continues to impress hy showing that they're not just pushing out one sound.each trach has got its own great hook, catchy melody, brilliant lyrics and addictive rythm.a really sexy and fun album to listen to" 8/10 - PANICDOTS

.

"Neat and anthemic lyrics and riffs.they seem like a group who really care about what they are doing" - WEARS THE TROUSERS MAGAZINE

.

"No-one makes a noise like this, an enigmatic singer combines brilliantly with wailing guitars to create a catalogue of tunes that convulse like they're in the electric chair"

- Chris Martin NME Radio

.

"They are Indie, They are Electro, They are Sexy, They are Smart,

The sound is Urgent and Fast Paced"

- MUSIC NEWS SCOTLAND

.

""There is something guiltily pleasing about "Slide Over".perhaps is the Elastica-size synth judder of "Savoir Faire" or the leather-and-eyeliner rock of "Switch The Beat" and "The Bet"" - CLASH MAGAZINE

.

As with most things exciting and fresh in music, it is made by those who are not studied and not tied by the expectation and demands of current knowledge or trends.

So The Kiara Elles forge ahead, doing what they want, the way they want to.

The band have taken responsibility for every creative aspect of their EP. The video to lead track ‘Odio’ is The Kiara Elles hyperactive frontwoman, Chiara Lucchini’s own work. The EP itself literally has the band’s personal stamp on every sleeve, each limited edition 7" vinyl has individually home-made and hand stamped sleeves designed and created by the band. The album was released in a super limited edition faux fur sleeve.

The Kiara Elles have played a string of shows with acts such as Miike Snow, The Chapman Family, Shy Child and will be performing at Kendal Calling Festival 2010. While getting the stamp of approval from the likes of Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens on Radio 1 and Chris Martin on NME Radio (all while unsigned), the band’s integrity saw them turn down numerous offers from labels that didn’t share their vision or work ethic, until finding a kindred spirit in Choque Hosein.

A decade on from receiving Leeds’ first Mercury Music nomination with his band Black Star Liner, Choque now runs Leeds hottest new music project Vandal. As well as head of Vandal, Choque also produced the EP (as he has previously for bands such as The Brute Chorus and Black Wire) and the bands upcoming debut LP released in May 2010. Although grouped under the Vandal project name, both the EP and the album were self-releases, like all the other works on Vandal.
