The Casual Fridays

The Casual Fridays, from Las Cruces, New Mexico, play primarily ska. Though now, The Casual Fridays have been spending their time deviating from their ska-roots and experimenting with other genres of music, covering bands such as the Blues Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Reel Big Fish, and more, in an attempt to appeal to a larger music audience. However, this by no means suggests that they will neglect the genre of ska and what it stands for.

The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Gabe Tena, bassist Aaron Perez, drummer Brandon "Brack" Gallegos; and trumpeters Michael Martinez and Cristina Lugo, and trombonists Phil Van Tuyl and Coleton Vitt (whom all contribute to backing vocals).



The horn section of the current membership differs from previous versions of the band because it contains only brass and adds a hint of mariachi influence.

For now, the Casual Fridays plan to focus on marketing their CD and bring their happy, dance-inducing ska music to the masses.
