The average fan of THE BURNING PARIS may not be aware of the fact that the members of the band originally all met on a fateful camping trip in Maine. At the same time, this probably wouldn’t be much of a shock as much as it is a logical explanation. Known for its scenic majesty, Maine’s Coastal Lowlands start at sea level before taking graceful leaps and plunges across the landscape, spanning the Uplands and peaking at the White Mountains of the Northwest portion of the state. THE BURNING PARIS could be described as a band of paralleling sonic majesty, whose music evokes the topography of such a dense, lush region, creating soundscapes that give listeners intense sweeping mental images atop the aural bliss



Half-Truths & Indiscretions documents the epic journey that THE BURNING PARIS took loyal audiences upon between 2000-2004. It contains the long out-of-print full length (Coral City Ruin) and EP (And By December You Will Know Where Your Heart Truly Lies) as well as other rarities and unreleased tracks, all remastered and packaged neatly onto one comprehensive disc.



The Burning Paris ended up re-morphing with the main songwriters into On Fire (who recorded again for Magic Bullet Records - now known as Eksi Ekso), while other members moved onto their own projects like Thee Electric Bastards, The Living Sea, Blythe Hollow, The Fatal Flaw, The Octave Museum and others.
