The Booze Hounds were formed in Bozeman Montana, January 2004 by front man Rob Lethert and longtime friend Kenny Stancil. Two Texan musicians, guitarist Ted Culp and Bass player Mike Schultz joined them. Four months later they finished up their first CD entitled “Beer”, which contains covers from other artists including Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt, Cracker, The Bottle Rockets, Slaid Cleves, Lucero, and Slobberbone.

Three years and a couple hundred gigs later Schultz was replaced by bassist Garrett Robinson and they began work on their next CD entitled “Happy Hour.” They teamed up with Bozeman’s own local legend and former front man for the John Colter Band, Tex Tucker.

They are now into their sixth year with a new lineup of musicians which consists of Rob Lethert on lead vocals and guitar, Kenny Stancil on drums, John Paul Bachman on Bass, and the Jake Hassler taking taking the other half of the guitar duties.

They are a great live band with a wide variety of styles ranging from rock, country, blues, and punk. They’ve shared the stage with the likes of David Allen Coe, Corb Lund and The Hurtin’ Albertans, Bob Wayne and the Outlaw Carnies, Cross Canadian Ragweed and others.

They are currently refining new originals for their third cd release which they will begin recording in late summer of 2010. They are a solid fun band to watch and are looking forward to a great year of playing live and the release of their next cd.

Hope to see ya at the show!!
